How To Get Better At Hive SkyWars (mobile)

Hello! My name is TheWhiteWulf. I love to play the Hive and my favorite mini game is SkyWars. SkyWars is basically where you can mine ores, bridge, and kill your neighbors. Yep. Life's great. When you play the Hive for the first time, just being at the hub is complicated. I can't really explain everything, but the tracking compass is for choosing what game you want to play, and I'll explain more about the name-tag and the enchanted book later.

There's a waiting lobby at the beginning of a game of SkyWars. You have to wait for some other people to join. It will say at the bottom: 5 people need to join or any other random number. Then once five people join, it gives the game twenty seconds before it starts. Complicated, and you can wait for a while. Then, once the game starts, you basically just loot chests and mine ores. There will be a warm up and a global locker. You can customize all sorts of things in your global locker. Once the warm up bars are down, you should probably bridge to your neighbor. If the middle is closer to your island than your neighbor, then go to middle. Otherwise, you can go and murder the guy next door. If you see somebody charging you, don't run until you find your partner. Its totally unfair and really annoying for the other person. Plus, its cowardly and stupid. Who runs away from a fight?
If you happen to see a person running at you yet again (yep. We'll be on this subject for a while. You will always see somebody charging you) then don't cross a bridge with holes so you can get easy kills. Sure, it's a good way to win but you won't get any better if you don't PvP (player versus player) directly. Besides, some dude is probably gonna sneak up behind you and then push you into the void.

Again, if you see somebody running at you, then do not run the time out, skybase, or do any other means that are annoying. Doing that will result in ban. Like, seriously, no joke. If you decide to hide and run and skybase, you will get banned. Besides, the guy in the chat will probably be talking about how this is not football. (Just kidding. That was stupid.) If you see somebody running at you, options are---fight him. For once people, be a man! (or a woman) Plus, you have more chance of winning. Running and hiding behind your AFK (away from keyboard) partner won't do anything. (I've done that before. I'd hoped that TBNRfrags724 would come back and save me from the SWEAT (somebody with extreme aggression turns. JK that was overrated) Just try to fight and win. Losing's okay. Everybody loses. I've lost, and I'm pretty good if I do say so myself (LOL) Another thing. Always check what level everybody is. You see that number above the person's head, right below their gamer tag? It's what level they are. Currently, the max level is 75 so if you haven't played the Hive since the level 40's then you better start. Level 100 is coming out soon hopefully! If the person is level 25 or over, leave the game and queue a new game. I know---level 25 people aren't very good if you think about it. But honestly, some level 1 people are insane, so never underestimate anybody, even level 25 people. 

Tip: never underestimate, and never overestimate people who are high levels. It doesn't mean they're good. It just means they play too much.

Rule number two: The main ores are redstone and iron. Diamonds and emeralds are good too, but if you just spend all day mining diamonds at the base, you definitely won't win. Redstone gives you extra hearts, and iron gives you blocks and arrows. Blocks are critical. You can bridge with them and use them for PvP. (See here, page 22 of "How to use Blocks" in my new post: How to use Blocks. JK. I'm never going to make that, but I will point out how blocks are helpful in PvP someday) You can do extensions (when somebody is hitting you into the void, you place blocks to catch yourself. It will be in my PvP analysis) and other cool stuff. Yeah. That covers the basics.

Next: PvP. PvP is probably the most important thing in SkyWars, since you well, kill people. There are good PvP strats: Swerving and running around your enemy and doing tricky stuff that's hard for the other person to follow along to. Also just being jumpy and generally causing havoc. Try not to third-party. What's third-partying? Okay. This is what third-partying is: Your name is RealmMC. Your fighting a guy named Zael20003000 (See my new post: Hive SkyWars Sweats.) You are losing the fight to Zael, but he's pretty low too. Let's say your about one heart and he's one and a half, but he has worse armor so you both pretty much take the same damage. Steve with no armor jumps in and one taps you both. Frustrating, right? Getting killed by Steve with no armor and a stone sword? Probably used to be AFK and couldn't get good loot. Well, that's third-partying. You are fighting only one guy---one versus one.  What's the math equation 1+1=?

If you guessed two, good for you! You look happy and healthy. (JK thats totally from an Olivia Rodrigo song not that I was singing it though. Okay, maybe I might have been a little bit ;) Then add 2+1 and you get 3. So basically, third is the dimensional way of saying three. So yeah, happy days! You have two fighting, BAM! Three fighting people and one of them kills everybody. I find third-partying very annoying, and usually you're killed by the most stupid noobs: Anime skin girl with a chain helmet, sweat with some boots, Steve with pants. Actually, take that back. Steve with pants is insane. Once you challenge Steve with pants, there's no going back. Since, well, you'll be dead :)

So yeah, try to avoid third-partying in every single possible way. Because you will know it's annoying to other people, and the Hive isn't just about not annoying people. It's about fairness. Getting killed by Steve with pants is not fair. (Okay, maybe it is if they actually manage to kill you)

Whenever I see two people fighting, I just kind of stay by, mining my very special redstone and iron. The person who won, I give them the choice to challenge me and die or run away and regenerate. Usually, they give me wary looks and then run. It's smart of them to do so, because I totally would've rocked them, even if it was hacker noob who took no damage. I could just block trap them. Its easy. Like, so easy that you would slap somebody in the face and say, "It wasn't a slap, it was a clap!"

Should I tell you you will run into people with strange names? Once, I saw a guy named PushingCheese5. Another time, I saw a guy named Yoda123. And another time, I actually saw a guy named buttspoopsfarts. No random numbers. No upper cases. Just buttspoopsfarts. I was surprised he'd even spelled that right. If I had a friend named Loops&Heart I would name myself Poops&Fart. Yep. That's why I am weird. (The whole Loop&Heart and Poop&Fart comes from a completely different story but we'll get to that later) Sorry. I got carried away again. Anyways, you will always find people with weird names. It's just the way of the world. It's not my fault if you find a guy named not edie.

If there were llamas in the Hive, I would want one named Bob that could spit fire. Sorry. I just got carried away again. Curse my carry awayness!
